Job Description

The BTEC Department at MCBS is growing faster and operates Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma. BTEC Level 3 is broadly equivalent to three General Certificate of Education (GCE) A Levels and recognized by the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate of Oman as grade 12 high school.

We are presently looking for a BTEC Level 3 Business Fulltime Assessors Assistant who will be reporting to the Head of BTEC Program. The candidate may also require teaching the following units when required/or when instructed by Head of the Department after relevant training.

1. English Course

2. Exploring Business

3. Research and Plan a Marketing Campaign

4. Business Finance

5. Managing an Event

6. Business Decision Making

7. Investigating Customer Service

8. Digital Marketing

9. Team Building 

10. Work Experience in Business

You will be required to adapt and follow the BTEC edexcel teaching and documentation standards. Adequate training will be provided during the course of the program.

Scope of work:

  • Coordinate with the Assessor on proper completion of BTEC standard teaching hours for each unit assigned.
  • Assessment support of students’ work and assignments including proper filing of all paperwork.
  • Help students whenever necessary to explain concepts and unit content in Arabic.
  • Ensure students receive all relevant documents and understand them.
  • Keep a dynamic report of each student progress. 
  • Assisting Assessors with Internal verification of Assignment briefs and Assignment samples
  • Proper guidance to students and maintaining student attendance.

  • Fulfilling other documentations and requirements as per coordinator and assessor with respect to the unit.

Qualification, Experience and other Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s in business (Any business-related area)
  • Experience: Preferably 1 year Industry experience in the field of Business/ Marketing/Administration
  • Good English Skills
  • Adequate IT skills. MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
  • Practicing and adapting to modern methods of teaching and learning

  • Location – Muscat or Suwaiq or Saham
